self-portraits with Alicia
Alicia is an old friend of mine and, for the past two years, room mate. I took this portrait years ago, not long after we meet. I revisited it recently, with a more retrospective eye, upon hearing the news that she is moving away to another country.
This short photographic sequence is an exploration on the meaning of identity (shifting and adaptive), friendship and closeness.
